The Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam is organized by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the selection of candidates for Grade ‘B’ and Grade ‘C’ category posts at different ministries of Government, departments, and offices. The process of Selection in SSC CGL has four-tier, where the first two Tier are computer-based, whereas, in Tier-III and Tier-IV, the candidates are required to go for a Descriptive test and a computer proficiency test or skill test. SSC CGL 2021 Eligibility Criteria

  • All the aspirants of SSC CGL 2020 has to abide by all the Eligibility Criteria Decided by the Commission.

Criteria for Citizenship

Candidate of SSC CGL must be Citizen of India or Nepal or Bhutan. If the candidate is from Nepal or Bhutan Shall have a Certificate of Eligibility by the Government of India in favour of him/her. 

Educational Qualification

Important Note

  • Tier I Exam will have negative marking. One wrong answer to a question will deduct 1/4 marks from the total of all sections.
  • For visually handicapped candidates the exam duration is 80 minutes.

There are four section in Tier-II as:

  • For visually handicapped candidates the exam duration is 2 hours 40 minutes.
  • In Tier-II, there will be a negative marking of 1/4 for each wrong answer in every section.
  • In Tier-II, Paper-I and Paper-II are compulsory for all the posts.
  • Paper-III of Tier-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade-II in the office of Registrar General, India (M/o Home Affairs) and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these posts.
  • In Tier-II, Paper-IV will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-IV i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.

Online Application Procedure For SSC CGL 2021

  • Register as a New User at the website which can be created by using a valid email ID and phone number. You will get the OTP of the required ID you want to generate for the SSC portal.
  • After you click on the Apply button, you will get the application form, fill it online.
  • You need to have the scanned copies of the recent passport size photograph, signature, and thumb impression to fill the application.

  • You can pay the application fee online or through a Challan which will be generated after you have filled in the required application of Exam.
  • After registration click on the Apply button to get the application submitted to the portal.

  • Then click on the Submit button after cross-checking the details or else you will not be able to make any changes afterwards.
  • Download the duly filled-in application form.
  • Take the print-out for future references.

Admit Card Download

  • Admit card for the above exams has not been scheduled by the authority. However, a general process to download the admit card is described below.
  • To download the Admit Card, applicants are required to visit the Official Website of the SSC.
  • Select the Download Admit Card option from the homepage of the website.
  • Log in by entering the details asked in the newly opened application form.
  • Download the Admit Card.
